Welcome to Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy. By accessing our website, enrolling in classes, participating in programs, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Enrollment & Participation

Enrollment in Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy programs is open to children and adults who meet program requirements. Participation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and related activities is voluntary and involves physical activity that carries inherent risk.

By enrolling, the participant (or parent/legal guardian for minors) confirms they are physically capable of participating or have consulted a medical professional prior to training.

2. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport that may result in injury, including but not limited to strains, sprains, bruises, fractures, or more serious injuries.

By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with training and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy, its owners, instructors, staff, and affiliates from any claims arising from participation, except where prohibited by law.

Parents or legal guardians assume all responsibility for minors enrolled in programs.

3. Memberships, Tuition & Payments

• Tuition is billed according to the membership or program selected
• Fees may be charged monthly, paid in full, or reimbursed through approved programs (such as Step Up for Students, when applicable)
• Memberships are non-transferable
• Promotional offers, trials, or discounts may have specific conditions

Failure to maintain current payments may result in suspension of services.

4. Cancellations, Freezes & Refunds

• Membership cancellation policies are outlined in individual enrollment agreements
• Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis
• Trial programs, registration fees, uniforms, and promotional offers are generally non-refundable
• Medical or special circumstances must be submitted in writing

5. Uniforms & Equipment

Students are required to follow Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy’s uniform and hygiene policies. This includes wearing approved attire, keeping uniforms clean, and maintaining personal hygiene for the safety of all students.

The academy reserves the right to restrict participation if uniform or hygiene standards are not met.

6. Code of Conduct

All students, parents, and visitors are expected to behave respectfully.

The following may result in disciplinary action or removal from the academy:
• Disruptive or disrespectful behavior
• Unsafe conduct
• Harassment or bullying
• Failure to follow instructor guidance

Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy maintains a zero-tolerance policy for violence outside of structured training.

7. Minors & Supervision

Parents or guardians are responsible for minors before and after scheduled class times. Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy is not responsible for supervision outside of class hours.

8. Photography & Media Release

By participating in programs, you grant Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy permission to use photographs or video recordings taken during classes or events for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes unless a written opt-out request is submitted.

9. Step Up for Students & Third-Party Programs

Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy may participate as a provider for third-party programs such as Step Up for Students. Acceptance, reimbursement, and eligibility are subject to the rules of those programs.

The academy is not responsible for reimbursement decisions made by third-party organizations.

10. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and branding, is the property of Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy and may not be copied or used without written permission.

Unauthorized use of website content is prohibited.

11. Schedule Changes & Closures

Class schedules, instructors, and programs are subject to change. The academy may close temporarily due to holidays, weather, emergencies, or special events.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation, website use, or services provided.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

14. Updates to Terms

Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Return and Refund Policy

At Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality instruction and programs. Please review our Return & Refund Policy carefully before enrolling or making a purchase.

1. Memberships & Tuition Payments

(786)822-ps, tuition payments, and program fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or explicitly stated in a written agreement.

Once a student is enrolled and classes are available, no refunds will be issued for:
• Missed classes
• Schedule changes
• Early withdrawal
• Lack of attendance

Membership terms, billing cycles, and cancellation policies are outlined in the individual enrollment agreement signed at registration.

2. Trial Programs & Promotional Offers

Free trials, discounted programs, promotions, and special offers are non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash or credit.

Trial participation does not guarantee continued enrollment or eligibility for refunds.

3. Uniforms, Gear & Merchandise

All sales of uniforms (Gi, No-Gi apparel, belts), merchandise, and equipment are final sale.

Returns or exchanges are not accepted once items have been worn, washed, used, or customized.

If an item is defective at the time of purchase, it must be reported within 48 hours for review.

4. Registration Fees & Administrative Fees

Registration fees, enrollment fees, and administrative charges are non-refundable, as they cover processing, scheduling, and setup costs.

5. Cancellations & Freezes

Membership cancellations and freezes must follow the terms specified in the signed enrollment agreement.

Medical or special circumstance requests must be submitted in writing and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval is not guaranteed.

6. Step Up for Students & Third-Party Programs

Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy may act as a provider for programs such as Step Up for Students.

Please note:
• Reimbursement eligibility and approval are determined solely by the third-party organization
• Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy does not guarantee reimbursement
• No refunds will be issued for denied, delayed, or reversed reimbursements

All documentation provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge, but final approval remains the responsibility of the program administrator.

7. Program Changes & Closures

Class schedules, instructors, and programs may change due to holidays, events, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. Temporary closures or schedule adjustments do not qualify for refunds.

8. Chargebacks & Disputes

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy may result in account suspension and additional administrative fees.

We encourage families to contact us directly so we can address concerns promptly and fairly.
