Coach Mario del Risco was born in Cuba and developed his musical foundation in Argentina, where his journey began at just eight years old under the mentorship of renowned professional musicians. Through years of dedicated study and performance, he mastered piano, guitar, violin, trumpet, flute, and accordion, becoming a versatile multi-instrumentalist with experience performing in concert halls, churches, and cultural events.

With more than thirteen years of teaching experience, Coach Mario has dedicated his career to helping students discover confidence, discipline, creativity, and a genuine love for music. His teaching combines technical excellence with patience, encouragement, and the belief that every student is capable of extraordinary growth through consistent practice.

In 2024, Coach Mario began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey under the guidance of Maestro Moacir “Boca” Oliveira at Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy. What started as a personal challenge quickly became another lifelong passion. Today, as a blue belt, he embraces the same values on the mats that have guided his musical career for decades: humility, perseverance, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Coach Raphael Morato Oliveira

For Raphael Morato Oliveira, the academy was never just a place to train—it was home.

Long before he understood the meaning of competition, the mats were his playground. While most children spent their afternoons at the park, Raphael could be found climbing ropes in his father’s CrossFit gym, racing through obstacle courses, doing burpees with the adults, and tumbling across the Jiu-Jitsu mats as comfortably as a fish in water. Surrounded by athletes, coaches, and martial artists, he was immersed in a culture of discipline, movement, and perseverance from the very beginning.

As the son of Master Moacir “Boca” Oliveira, a 6th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, Raphael was raised in an environment where excellence wasn’t demanded—it was modeled. What began as childhood play gradually evolved into a lifelong pursuit of mastery.

Over the years, Raphael developed into a highly accomplished competitor, earning medals in the nation’s premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu organizations, including the IBJJF, Newbreed Ultimate Challenge, and Jiu-Jitsu World League. His competitive résumé features podium finishes at the IBJJF Pan Kids Championship, multiple IBJJF Open Championships, and championship victories throughout Florida against some of the sport’s toughest competitors.

Today, Raphael continues to compete while sharing his passion with the next generation as an instructor at Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy. His teaching reflects the same values that shaped him as a child: discipline, humility, resilience, and the belief that confidence is earned through consistent effort.

For Raphael, Jiu-Jitsu has never been just a sport. It is the language he grew up speaking, the foundation of his character, and the legacy he is proud to carry forward.

Coach Arthur Lavison de Jesus Lima

Born in Serrinha, Bahia, Brazil, Arthur Lavison de Jesus Lima is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and professional MMA athlete whose martial arts journey began at the age of 15 through a social project in his hometown under the guidance of Professor Jeferson Almeida (NF Team).

What started as an opportunity quickly became a lifelong passion. Arthur rose through the national Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu circuit, earning recognition as one of the top competitors in three Brazilian states. Before transitioning to professional MMA, he had already established himself as a respected Jiu-Jitsu athlete, competing in many of Brazil’s most prestigious tournaments against some of the country’s best competitors. Throughout his career, he captured numerous titles, including multiple Open Class (Absolute Division) championships.

At 18, Arthur moved away from home to pursue his dream of becoming a professional fighter. While expanding his skills in Muay Thai, Boxing, and Taekwondo, he never lost sight of his roots. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has always been the foundation of his game, and the majority of his professional MMA victories have come by submission.

Arthur has competed professionally in respected organizations such as LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance), Shooto Brasil, OKTAGON MMA, Real Fight Arena, and Brasil Grand Champion, building a reputation as a highly technical grappler and submission specialist.

Today, as an instructor at Boca Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Coach Arthur is passionate about giving back through teaching. He believes that just as someone once invested in him, it is now his responsibility to pass that knowledge on to the next generation. His classes emphasize technical excellence, discipline, confidence, humility, and respect, helping students of all ages grow both on and off the mats.
